OUR STAFF

Our loyal staff assisting in the two locations have worked hard to keep current on the product lines and have gone to great lengths to keep the lines of communications open with the various manufacturers they deal with.  Kevin Kangas  is primarily available in Ironwood on the sales floor.  Kevin joined the staff in 2002 and has had a variety of responsibilities over the years, including sales, deliveries, assembly and finishing services.   He had worked in retail prior to joining Hitt's.  Michael Hitt began working with his parents at Hitt's part-time as a young student in 2001.  He now works for the company full time, with responsibilities including deliveries, assembly, finishing services, and maintenance.   Estelle Westlund joined the staff in 2008 when the Ashland store opened. She had prior retail experience.  Estelle has taken on the role of Sales Manager in the Ashland location and is at the Ashland store on a full-time basis. Jim Puotinen floats between the two location on the sales floor.  Jim started full-time in 2001 as the Sales Floor Manager, but is now semi-retired.  Jim has an extensive sales background.  Mark Rosa joined the staff at Hitt's in the fall of 2016.  Mark had served in the military and has a background in driving equipment, retail work and some woodworking.  He has responsibilities that include deliveries, assembly, and finishing services.   He also helps out on the sales floor as the need arises.  Eric Johnson joined the staff in 2020 and primarily does deliveries, assembly, and finishing services.  Mitchell Hissa has worked for Hitt's part-time since 2015.  He is responsible for helping in the finishing shop, filling in on deliveries and assembly,   Mary Hitt heads up the staff at Hitt's.  She has a background working with the public, working as a church office administrator for a number of years, and  also volunteering in various roles in the community.  She is the office manager as well as filling in wherever is needed at either location.
